Morning everyone! I’d like to welcome Carrie Ann Ryan to the blog today! She is a new to me paranormal romance author and I recently took a few minutes of her time to ask her a few questions:

What was your motivation to start your writing career?
.
I’ve always been an avid romance reader, but after reading so many, I had characters in my mind that were my own and needed to be told.

Why paranormal romance?
.
I love making up my own worlds and rules. With paranormal, I can go pretty crazy and be okay LOL.
.
What do you say to those people that say that paranormal romance is past its peak?
.
That those people need to read another genre for a bit and come back to it LOL. I read contemporary, paranormal, historical, western, gay, ménage and sci-fi. I love it all. If I get tired of one thing, then I read something else until I come back to it.

Tell us a bit about your most current book.
.
A Taste for a Mate is about what happens when just when you think your life is about to change for the good, something bad can come and take it away.
Here’s the blurb.
Jasper Jamenson’s only responsibility to being the Beta of the Redwood Pack, second son of the Alpha, is to protect the Pack from themselves and the human world. I’m a plotter by far. I have series, characters, books, and chapter outlines LOL.

Who would we find on your bookshelf right now?

Everything! LOL. I just started reading Lori Foster though and have fallen in love with her LOL.

Is writing your only job? What other “hats” do you wear?
.
Oh, I’m a chemistry instructor by day and a kitten-momma, wife, and writer by night. Very busy LOL.

Tell us one very random, off the wall, thing about Carrie Ann Ryan.

My eyes used to be brown, but after a car accident are now gold. Think the weird eyes from Twilight without the weirdness LOL.

A Taste for a Mate is the second book in the Redwood Pack series. The third book, Trinity Bound, is out March 30th. After that there will be 4 more books in the series.
I’m also writing another series called Dante’s Circle and that is also 7 books.
Oh, and I have a super skekrit project that is 4 books long.
Ooh… Love the sounds of these, Carrie Ann–I sure do love a series! Will be adding these to the TBB, and um, intrigued by the sounds of the super sekrit project!!
