Guest Post with Mina Khan and GIVEAWAY

Before I was a writer, I was a reader. My father was a sailor and I spent my early childhood on ships with books as my constant companions. Instead of real children, I went adventuring with the young characters of Enid Blyton’s Famous Five. Later, the laugh-out-loud Three Singles To Adventure by Gerald Durrell helped me get over a high school heartbreak. And when my son was born seven weeks early and we had to spend sixty two days in the hospital, I read Elmer Kelton’s The Time It Never Rained out loud to him. I didn’t know if he’d make it or not, and I wanted to share a good story with him.

Unfortunately, there are many who will never know the comfort of a good book. According to the UNICEF, 67 million children are currently not enrolled in school worldwide.

I’m thankful for my ability to read and I would like to pay it forward by donating fifty percent of the proceeds of A TALE OF TWO DJINNS to UNICEF. I need your help. Author Bio:

Mina Khan is a Texas-based writer and food enthusiast. She daydreams of hunky paranormal heroes, magic, mayhem and mischief and writes them down as stories. Between stories, she teaches culinary classes and writes for her local newspaper. Other than that, she’s raising a family of two children, two cats, two dogs and a husband.

She grew up in Bangladesh on stories of djinns, ghosts and monsters. These childhood fancies now color her fiction. Her debut novella, THE DJINN’S DILEMMA was published November 2011. A second novella, A TALE OF TWO DJINNS, will be available March 2012.
